Application Guidelines

1. Examination Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on several factors, including the need to allocate our limited resources across diverse research needs, the potential impact of the research supported by us, and the possibility of fostering new research fields.

2. Disclaimer

Please note that depending on the nature of the support provided, the expected results may not always be achieved, and certain issues may arise in handling deliverables due to various factors. Different support groups may have their disclaimers, which will be explained by the support coordinator. Successful applicants must sign the required consent forms and other documentation before the support begins.

3. Co-authorship

For certain types of support or techniques provided, we may request co-authorship on papers resulting from the research. The co-authorship requirements vary by support group. Applicants are required to discuss this with their support coordinator before receiving support.

4. Acknowledgment Obligation

When publishing a paper related to the KAKENHI research supported by this platform, recipients are required to acknowledge the support in the acknowledgment section of the paper. The following acknowledgment must be included: "This work was supported by JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number JP 22H04923 (CoBiA)."

5. Obligation to Report Published Papers

All published papers resulting from the research supported by this platform must be reported using the designated report form, no later than the end of the fiscal year in which they are published. This includes papers published years after the support was received.
