It is an enormous privilege to be able to hold the 71st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthodontic Society in Morioka City in the Tohoku region, and I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Society members for providing us this opportunity.
"Contemplating tomorrow's orthodontic care" has been chosen as the main theme of this meeting, in view of currents in recent years. We are planning educational lectures, special lectures and symposia, to explore ideal future directions for orthodontic care.
Staff members are currently working on preparations to ensure that the quality of the meeting fulfills expectations.
The meeting will take place at the Morioka Civic Cultural Hall adjoining Morioka Station, as well as several other venues in the area. Although the facilities may not have all the amenities of a larger city, I am confident that the warm hospitality of Morioka's citizens will go a long way toward ensuring the success of this meeting. I sincerely look forward to the participation of as many of you as possible.
Chairperson General,
