FOR CHAIRPERSONS & PRESENTERS

*Important Notice*

To Speakers Scheduled to Present in Venue 1 We are planning to introduce two-way simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation in your session.
In order to ensure more accurate interpretation and smooth proceedings, please send the data of your presentation slides to the Secretariat Office at least one week prior to your presentation date.
The data will be shared with the interpreters, but will be deleted by the secretariat after the presentation is over.

For chairperson

  • Chairpersons will be needed to be seated in the "next chairperson's seat" in the venue at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the session in charge.
    Please surely start your session on time.

For presenters

  • As soon as you arrive at the venue, please come to the Chairperson・Presenter registration desk (KUMAMOTO-JO Hall 2nd floor)
  • Please complete the preview at the upload and preview desk at least 30 minutes before your presentation starts, and be seated at the "next presenter's seat" in the venue 15 minutes before.
    The location and registration hours of the upload and preview desk are as follows.

  • From December 15th (Thu) to December 30th (Fri), questions from attendees will be recieved on the on-demand website.
    The first author will need to check and reply after December 31st (Sat).
  • Please insert COI disclosure slide as the second slide data you’re your presentation (next to the title slide). Please download the template of the conflict of interest disclosure slide from the Japanese Society for Inherited Metabolic Diseases website.
  • For Windows data, please bring your presentation data with a USB memory.
    (Recommend that checking the readability on another laptop in advance and bring your backup data.)
  • Please make your presentation data as in 16:9 ratio of the slides.
  • If you use a Macintosh, please bring your own laptop.
  • The Windows OS 10 and PowerPoint 2013, 2016, 2019 will be available at the venue on the day.
  • To prevent garbled characters, we recommend using the following fonts.
    Japanese: MS Gothic, MSP Gothic, MS Mincho, MSP Mincho
    English: Arial, Arial Black, Century, Century Gothic
  • For your presentation, please control your presentation data with using clicker or keyboard which will be available on the podium by yourself.
  • After the presentation, your presentation data will be deleted responsibly by the secretariat.
  • Please note that presentations cannot be made using the "Presenter Tool" in PowerPoint.

【In case of bringing your laptop】

  • Please bring your AC adapter and converter with you.
  • D-sub15pin(mini) cable will be available at the venue.
  • Please check the shape of the external monitor output terminal on your laptop you bring in, as a dedicated connection terminal is required for a general laptop.
  • Please come to the upload and preview desk in advance to make sure that your laptop is outputting correctly to the external monitor. The setting method differs depending on the laptop and OS.
  • Please turn off any screensavers or power saving settings before bringing to the upload and preview desk.
  • If you have set a password, please make sure to turn it off in advance.
  • Please make sure to bring your presentation data by USB or HDD as back up just in case.

2)Poster Presentation

  • Poster presentations will be held as on-site and on-demand on the web after the annual meeting and symposium, it will be needed to send the PDF data to the secretariat by the end of November.
  • There is no time for presentations, but there will be a core time as discussion-style on November 24th (Thursday) from 18:00 to 19:00.
    *Presenter must wear the presenter's ribbon and wait in front of presenter’s poster at least 10 minutes before core time starts.
  • The presentation number, thumbtacks, and ribbons for presenters will be provided by the secretariat.

3)Display method

  • Please make a poster presentation in English.
  • The size of the poster body is 160cm x 90cm.(see right figure).
  • Please attach the title of your presentation, the speaker’ name, and organization to the top of the panel (20cm high x 70cm wide).
  • Presentation number, thumbtack, and presenter ribbons are available at the venue.
  • Please display the posters for 3 days and remove them within the removal time. Posters that have passed the removal time will be disposed of by the secretariat.
  • Please refrain from sending posters to the venue or the secretariat in advance.
