FGF23 Assay

Diseases

Diseases in which FGF23 assay might be worthwhile are hypophosphatemic diseases. Please refer to Table.1 (>>>FGF23 & Hypophosphatemic Rickets/Osteomalacia). Also the other hypophosphatemia without any known cause is ideal to be subjected to FGF23 measurement,
Chronic kidney disease and hypophosphatemia after kidney transplantation should be excluded because serum FGF23 levels are consistently high in these diseases.
