Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) is the concept that environmental factors during developmental period could potentially affect the health and risk of various diseases in later life.

The Japan Society for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD-Japan) was launched in July 2012. DOHaD-Japan became a Chapter member of Internal Society for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) in September 2014.
