Non-members of any of the three associations can also participate but are not allowed to deliver papers.
Non-members will have to pay:
- 8,000 JPY (Student 4,000 JPY) for conference fee of The 111th Annual Congress of the Japan Society of Medical History,
- the actual cost for the booklet (about 5,000 JPY) for attendance of the Joint Symposium,
- 7,000 JPY each for Fellowship Banquet (evenings of 11th and 12th. 14,000 JPY for the both).

- Speakers can use their native languages for their own presentation, but
without simultaneous interpretation. For question and answer, interpreters will
be able to help communication between speakers and questioners. Presentation
Slides such as a Power Point file will be shown in translated Japanese,
together with speaker's native language. Abstracts will be translated in Japanese,
and be published as an extra issue of the Journal of the Japan Society of
Medical History.
