The mission of the Department of Community and Public Health Nursing, Division of Creative Nursing, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Hokkaido University is to identify the health issues of the community and the society and find their solutions.

Therefore, community/social contribution is one of the most important missions of our department, and we are actively engaged in various collaborative projects with related parties in approximately every field and area to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of all individuals, families, groups, and communities living in the society and the construction of a society that supports them.

So far, the main areas that we have experienced are categorized as themes related to government policies, projects, and public health activities as well as new community health programs and systems. We have been working with a field-oriented approach, placing importance on solving or achieving community health issues and needs, using feasible methods and systems that are appropriate for the community.
