Research Topic
Department of Molecular Immunology and Inflammation
Inflammatory responses, which are associated with various intractable diseases including immunological disorders, infectious diseases and diabetes, greatly affect the clinical conditions. Therefore, it is urgent task to establish novel methods for controlling inflammation. The research goals of the department of molecular immunology and inflammation are to understand regulatory mechanisms of inflammatory responses and to identify novel target molecules for developing new treatment strategies. Our research activities are focused on following topics.
1.Regulation of innate immune responses through inhibitory receptors
2.Functions and regulatory mechanisms of signaling endosomes in innate immune cells
3.Regulatory mechanisms of organelle homeostasis in innate immune cells in the course of inflammation
