About us
The Department of Maternity Nursing and Midwifery investigates nursing as it relates to the reproductive health of mothers, infants and the whole family. Our department’s research activities focus on support for women during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood and support for the whole family as they engage in raising children. We are also dedicated to research and practical activities related to career promotion, continuing education, and work continuation for midwives to facilitate their ability to continue to enthusiastically assist women during the perinatal period. Through coordination with medical and educational facilities and professional organizations within Chiba Prefecture, our goal is to generate knowledge and enable maternity nursing practice that is firmly rooted in the local community.
