Tokyo Super-EMG
Hands-on Course 2026

On behalf of the Neuromuscular Neurophysiology Subcommittee of JSCN, we are pleased to invite colleagues from around the world to this intensive two-day hands-on course in Tokyo.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

Aim and Learning Outcome

After completion of the course, participants will understand basic and advanced techniques in nerve conduction studies, electromyography, and neuromuscular ultrasound.

  • Practicing physicians
  • Residents and fellows in neurology, PMR, orthopedics, and related fields

Hands-on Sessions

  • Nerve conduction studies (uncommon nerves)
  • Concentric needle EMG (uncommon muscles)
  • Single-fiber EMG
  • Magnetic stimulation (motor evoked potentials)

Lectures

  • Facial nerve palsy
  • Radiculopathy
  • ALS and other motor neuron diseases
  • Diabetic neuropathies
  • Manual muscle testing
  • Functional neurological disorder

Interactive Session

  • How to perform electrodiagnostic testing
