OUR MISSION

Purpose

The Society brings together researchers and professionals who study, from a physiological perspective, the functions and disorders of the nervous system and muscles, encompassing a broad range from the brain and spinal cord to the peripheral nerves and muscles. By integrating clinical research directly related to human health with basic research aimed at elucidating the functions of the brain, nerves, and muscles, the Society promotes research into the complex systems of the human nervous system.

OUR JOURNEY

History

The Japanese Society of Electroencephalography and Electromyography was established on December 13, 1971, through the merger of the Japanese Society of Electroencephalography and the Japanese Society of Electromyography.

On January 1, 2000, the Society changed its name from the Japanese Society of Electroencephalography and Electromyography to the Japanese Society of Clinical Neurophysiology.

On April 1, 2004, the Society was incorporated as the Japanese Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, Limited Liability Intermediate Corporation. On December 1, 2008, its legal status was changed to a General Incorporated Association, under which it continues to operate today.
