Chairman's Greeting
It is my great honor and pleasure to present the 4th Congress of
the World Association for Laser Therapy, to be held in Japan at
the Epochal Tsubuka International Congress Center, from June 27th
to June 30th, 2002.
Situated conveniently between Tokyo and the New Tokyo International
Airport, Tsukuba has become widely known as the 'Science City' -
a city that contributes significantly to the global progression
of science and technology. Tsukuba's focus on science is equally
balanced by a strong commitment to the environment. Green parks
and recreational areas have been carefully landscaped to provide
an oasis for the mind as well as the body. We plan to take care
of both with a carefully designed scientific agenda backed up by
an equally well-thought out social program. And, of course, there
will be plenty for anyone accompanying you to do as well!
I am certain that the debating of issues and exchange of information
and opinions by some of the world's leading experts in the fast-expanding
and exciting field of laser therapy will stimulate new levels of
international cooperation, as well as promote further research across
a wide range of topics. As there will be many participants from
the Asian region, I anticipate that a far greater degree of information
exchange will be possible.
I extend a warm welcome to all, and hope that you will take advantage
of this opportunity.
