Greetings ・ ようこそ

Presently starting my second year as a training candidate at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, I am a Japanese psychiatrist with a strong (obviously) interest in the potentials of psychotherapy. This year, 1998, just happens to be the 50th anniversary of the Jung Institute so you may want to take a look at the special events which will be taking place as well as the usual open lectures which anyone is welcome to attend.

As with most students who come to the Jung Institute I have to rely solely on my small savings to get us through the four years (minimum) it will take for the program. So we're pretty destitute financially and yet this condition has led to many interesting adventures for us. Perhaps I'll be able to share some of these stories with you later on.

Also, things move at a very leisurely speed, dare I say at a cow's pace?!, in Switzerland, much like the healing process of the soul itself-a pace which I find myself more comfortable in than the rough push-and-go which we find so commonly in the cities of Japan. Perhaps it is this enviable state where I can devote myself to my studies, or maybe it is this country itself but there is a sense that one is merely a small part of nature, that it is of vital importance to live in harmony with nature. I think this may be one of the most important aspects of this training process.

I'd like to try to share with you some of my interests and the insights I develop as I spend my years here. This is a newborn page. Please send me your ideas about what you'd like to see as this site-hopefully-grows.
