4.Sessions Special Lectures (5), Symposiums (51) and Oral/Poster sessions will be scheduled.
We are planning to invite several speakers from overseas for special lectures and symposiums. The official language used for this meeting is English.
5. Deadlines
Call for papers (abstract submission) has been closed. We appreciate submission of many papers.
Normal registration is opened until the meeting.
Deadlines for advance registration and abstract submission are postponed as below:
Advance online registration deadline: Jan. 6 (Wed), 2010,5 PM (Japan Standard Time).
Online abstract submission deadline: Jan. 6 (Wed), 2010,5 PM (JST).

#1 Graduate school student participants
- (1)
- A graduate school student submitting an abstract as the first author must join the society (the Physiological Society of Japan http://physiology.jp/) in advance, and is required to complete advanced registration (see 8. Submission rules).
- (2)
- For advance registration of an undergraduate student who will not submit an abstract, photocopy of the student's ID and a proof letter from PI must be sent by FAX (+81-19-653-2093 TOP-TOUR, Morioka) to the registration secretariat.
- (3)
- Membership status will be verified by “the student ID card” at the time of registration.
#2 Undergraduate students
- (1)
- An undergraduate student submitting an abstract as the first author must join the society (the Physiological Society of Japan http://physiology.jp/) in advance, and is required to complete advanced registration (see 8. Submission rules). Registration fees are ¥3,000.
- (2)
- An undergraduate student who will not submit an abstract does not need to register in advance. Membership status will be verified by “the student ID ” at the time of on-site registration.
- (3)
- Technical college students are included in the category of “undergraduate students”.
Normal registration is opened until the meeting.

8. Submission rules for Abstract Carefully read the following rules for submitting and presenting scientific abstracts.
Abstracts that do not adhere to the rules below may be rejected or withdrawn. Only abstracts with scientific or educational merit are accepted.
- 1)
- A general or student may submit a scientific abstract only as first (presenting) author.The first author should present the work at the meeting. No presentation may be given by an individual who is not an author on the abstract. (This may not apply to symposium speakers from overseas). A non-member submitting an abstract as the first author must join the society from the homepage (http://physiology.jp/). - An individual may appear as the first (presenting) author on only one scientific abstract. In cases where a member is the first (presenting) author on two abstracts, one of the abstracts must be withdrawn.

- To ensure proper citation in the author index, enter your name consistently and list the same contact e-mail address on all abstracts on which you are an author. Members should enter their names exactly as they appear in records (see membership directory).

10.Presentation Format
- (1)
- The time of oral presentations (General Lectures and Symposium) shall be notified when fixed. Presentation equipment is limited to an LCD projector and computer only (No OHPs). Basically, speakers will be asked to prepare their presentation data in Microsoft PowerPoint (Windows version) and bring this data on a USB flash memory or CD-R. Details will be posted on this homepage.
- (2)
- Posters shall be 120 cm (W) × 180 cm (H) in size. The “title”, “affiliations”, and “names of author(s)” shall be in both English and Japanese, and the “objective”, “abstract”, and “words and descriptions in figures” shall be in English. Submission numbers shall be assigned at the top left-hand corner. Details will be posted on this homepage.

11.Program The final program provides a list of titles, first and co-authors’ names and affiliations. A booklet of the final program and name tag will be sent to all who have completed registration before the annual meeting.
12.English abstract The English abstracts (Journal of Physiological Sciences) will be published before the annual meeting. Special caution must be taken for those planning to apply for a patent. Some description of the invention in the abstract may be considered as “Loss of Novelty”.
13.Luncheon seminar Details will be available soon on this homepage.
14.Group dinner Each group dinner is now in the planning stage. The detailed information will be available soon on this homepage
15.Child care (nursery) This facility is located inside the Aiina Center. The service costs 3000 yen per day. The Society will cover part of the costs. Details will be posted on this homepage.
