Life in Sweden
No. 15 Deers in Stockholm
2000/10/02
There are many wild lifes in Stockholm, such as squirrels, hares,
foxes, raccoons, and deers.
I chanced to see a deer and two cubs in one morning. They were walking across a street in a residential area of Stockholm. Probably, they were looking for food to prepare for the winter.
However, it is a pitty that there are many traffic accidents between wild lifes and cars. Especially in the suburbs, sometimes humans are killed by the crash against moose. Therefore, there are many traffic signs warning wild lifes can cross the roads. Actually, I recently saw a moose just close to the Huddinge campus of Karolinska Institute.
Watching out from the bush.
Eating green grass.
A deer with its cub.
They walk around the gardens of the residential area.
A moose walking across a road near the Karolinska Institutet at Huddinge.
