    AVBS:

    AVBS will provide up to 5Travel Awards each valued at AU$2000. Eligibility criteria are 1) Current Ph, D students, or Post-doctoral Fellow within 3 years of award of Ph. D, 2) Abstract(s) accepted for presentation as oral or poster. Applications need not be members of the Society. To apply, please submit 5 copies of 1) Submitted abstract(s), 2) Curriculum Vitae, 3) Cover letter outlining reasons for wishing to attend the meeting (no longer than 2 pages) to Dr. Khachigian at the following address by January 15, 2002.

    EVBA:

    EVBA will award up to 5 bursaries of 1000 Euros- for young European scientists who attend IVBM in Japan. Applications for these awards, which must be accompanied by a copy of the abstract submitted to IVBM, should be sent to:

    EVBA Council members will judge the awards on scientific merit. The deadline for receipt of applications is January 15, 2002.

    JVBO:

    10 scholarships at 50,000 Japanese yen will be provided. Japanese applicants should be 39 years old or less. The following documents should be submitted to the JVBO Secretariat by January 15, 2002:

    The selection will be made by the JVBO Committee.

    NAVBO:

    NAVBO will provide up to 4 travel awards at US$1000. To be eligible, applicants must be members of NAVBO, and be post-doctoral fellows, instructors or assistant professor (within 5 years of initial appointment). Trainee membership in NAVBO is $US25 and those interested can apply for membership at the time of application for the award. Applicants must submit a copy of the abstract and their C.V. to:

The deadline for receipt of applications is January 15, 2002. Awardee selection will be based on abstracts. Applications will be evaluated by the NAVBO Awards Committee and selected awardees will be announced by March 15, 2002.
 
NAVBO wishes to recognize the Institut de Recherches Internationles Servier for their generous support of two of these awards.
  • Young Investigators' Award
    Granted by the organizing committee of XIIth IVBM. Young investigator award
    at US$1500 will be awarded to 5 selected poster presentations.
    It will be selected from posters presented, and applicants should be
    1) Current graduate school. students, or Post-doctoral fellow,
    2) 39 years old or less.
    The winners will be announced at the conference site.
