Statement of Biocolor Special Issue Digital Biocolor Society was established in 1999, and the purpose of this Society is to promote the study of digitization, record and reproduction of the colors pertaining to living systems, to exchange related knowledge among its members and to recommit its profits to the public. The society provides the planning and negotiation of international and interdisciplinary collaboration for research, investigation and development from the two approaches: elemental technology and medical needs. In particular, the society play an important rule for research presentations and researchers communications for accurate color digitalization and record and reproduction for skin and facial images, endoscopic images for large intestine and liver, and microscopic image for tissue specimen. Specially, since multispectral imaging is blooming in those years, the researches in engineering field and medical field deeply discussed about the contribution of multispectral imaging into medical and biomedical fields. After these experiences, each researcher in digital biocolor society works actively in his/her proper society. In recent years, the field of biocolor is expected to make a great contribution to the healthcare and medical fields, as this field has developed dramatically due to the increase in computational resources and the invention of advanced signal processing methods. It would be a great help amid COVID-19 pandemic. Up to now, we have been holding Biocolor research meetings for face-to-face interaction, but since the interaction is currently limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have planned a special issue for mutual interaction among members. If you have a study that would be suitable for a special issue, please consider it. We look forward to receiving your submissions on this occasion. 2. Biocolor Special Issue of AROB Journal (Springer) The first and the second special issues were published in 2019 and 2020 respectively, this time the third issue will be published on February 2021.
